What we did. We assessed the estate, the plan and the risks: structured consultations with executives and managers, evidence review, and findings tested with the leadership team before anything went to the board.
What they got. A written board report and presentation setting out what the plan got right, what needed fixing first, and where timelines did not match the resources behind them. The board made its investment decisions on evidence rather than optimism.
