Intelance Assure · For boards, investors, customers and auditors
Independent Technology, AI and Cyber Assurance
Independent technology assurance is evidence based verification that what you are being told about technology, AI, cyber, data or a deal is true. We test the claims, weigh the evidence and put our name to a board ready answer: fixed fees, senior reviewers only, and structural independence from anyone who built the thing being assured.
The principle
If we built it, we do not assure it. Our independence is built into how the firm is structured.
Most firms audit work their colleagues sold. We separate the two by design: assurance reviews are led by senior people with no stake in the outcome, across five domains that usually get checked in silos: architecture, AI, cyber, data, and delivery and deals. One independent layer, testing claims rather than intentions, for the people who have to sign their name under a decision.
What you can have assured
Every review is a fixed fee, scoped on the call and confirmed in writing. Where a range applies, it depends on the size of the estate and the question being asked.

Consulting, internal audit and independent assurance are not the same thing
Builds and advises
Designs and implements. Valuable, but it cannot mark its own homework: the incentive is to call the work good.
Checks against policy
Tests whether your own rules were followed. Essential, but it inherits the organisation's assumptions and blind spots.
Tests the claims
Evidence based verification by reviewers with no stake in the result, answering the question the board is asking, in writing.
How a review runs
Most reviews land inside a month.
Scoping call
What you need to prove, to whom, and by when. We confirm the right review, the fixed fee and the realistic timeline.
Evidence request
A precise list of what we need to see. No fishing expeditions and no disruption theatre.
Fieldwork
Claims tested against evidence by a senior reviewer. Findings ranked as we go, no surprises saved for the end.
Board ready report
A written verdict you can put in front of the people who asked, with our name on it.
Bad assurance costs more than it saves: a comfortable report that misses the truth. We scope to the question the board is asking, and say so if a cheaper review answers it.

Technology assurance: the questions leaders ask
What is independent technology assurance?
It is the evidence based verification of technology claims for the people accountable for them: boards, audit committees, investors, customers and regulators. Unlike consulting, it does not design or build anything. It tests whether what you are being told is true, and puts that answer in writing.
How is this different from using our consultants or internal audit?
Consultants build and advise, so they cannot independently mark their own work. Internal audit checks compliance with your own policies and inherits your assumptions. Independent assurance tests the claims themselves, with reviewers who have no stake in the result. If Intelance built something, we do not assure it.
What does technology assurance cost?
Reviews start from £4,500 + VAT, with most full audits landing between £8,500 and £18,000. A Technology Board Assurance Pack starts from £18,000, AI Assurance Reviews from £15,000, and M&A reviews from £15,000. Every fee is fixed and confirmed in writing before work begins.
How fast can a review be done?
Most reviews land inside a month. M&A reviews run in 5 to 10 working days, AI Assurance Reviews in 2 to 3 weeks, and the Board Assurance Pack in 3 to 4 weeks. Reviews are sequenced backwards from the date you have to answer.
Will the report be usable by a board?
That is the point of it. Findings are ranked, evidence is cited, and the verdict is written in language a board, investor or insurer can act on. You get an answer you can put your name under, because we put ours under it first.
What if the review finds serious problems?
Then you find out from us, in private, with a ranked list and a practical path, rather than from an incident, an insurer or a buyer\'s due diligence team. Findings never surprise you at the end: we flag them as we go.
